Hi,
First of all, please accept my complete ignorance as to how all this blog stuff works, including connecting with all of you appropriately. I will go to my grave with that blinding computer foreignness with which you all seem so comfy. So I write this with no clue as to whether or not this is how it should I should submit my entreaty.
But my effort here is to see if there are people out there who could be of assistance in our local effort to establish an organic/sustainable food store where I live (Oxford, Oh). As well, I admit, to linking with a possible personal connection (smiles).
I am involved with a very dedicated, professional, knowledeable goup of citizens who are trying to establish a permanent food coop that would provide all the fantastic benefits such a concern offers (www.mooncoop.com). For several years, we have been earnestly trying to garner enough members in order to satisfy all the grant and bank perameters to create a facility here, and are as yet still in need of more members to make it happen. We currently have approximately 317 members, but need approximately 450 in order to fully substantiate our effort. Knowing that there are many fantastic and successful cooperative efforts thriving around the country, that local, sustainable food enterprizes are growing at a very healthy rate, and that this is an avenue of critical importance to our country's future environmental health, I was hoping there would be others out there who could perhaps offer ideas, links, etc. that could further our efforts here. I am not an official spokesman for our local coop, so please do not represent me as such. But I'm just throwing this out here in the hope that you might be able to offer creative ideas, successful experiences and any other input to help us in our cause. Thanks for any assistance you may provide.
