I just wanted to say I am just so excited. Yesterday when I went out and I had to dance I was so nervous. I was watching all the other dancers and they were so amazing. Mel B. was out there with Maks and they were just heating up the dance floor. I looked at Tony and he said, “we're not doing that, we're doing a foxtrot” and I looked in his eyes and I went out there.
I didn't dare look at anyone, I didn't dare think about anything, I just decided to pretend I was Ginger Rogers with Fred Astaire and that I was going to have my dream come true, I was going to dance in the clouds and do this little dance. I don't remember anything about it except that I seem to remember the audience going, “oh my god”, when I fell backwards. It was so exciting I couldn't even remember anything the judges had to say. But I just want everyone to know that I had the time of my life, it really was my dream come true and the support from all the fans has just been unbelievable.
I am just so grateful to all of you and just let it be known that I am working really hard, but I am having a lot of fun. I'm hoping that this will inspire lots and lots of people either with ailments or whatever is stopping them from getting up and dancing to realize that dancing is very life affirming and very spiritually uplifting as well as physically a great thing to do.
It was a dream come true

Ms Seymour, I was so impressed with your dance last night, and you fulfilled all my expectations. I told my wife, watch Jane Seymour, she will look and dance elligantly, chamingly, and with a beautiful grace. You danced, and all those things were apparent. I was so happy the judges felt the same. I hope you win! You are great at the beginning, and obviously will only get better. Best Luck, and you can count on my wife's and my votes. Scott Mount

The hard work certainly shows. You and Tony were fabulous! Your performance was so wonderful you brought the audience -both at the studio and, I suspect, in more than a few homes as well - to their feet for a standing ovation. Not bad for the first night. Keep up the good work. We're all rooting for you, girl!!

It was wonderful to watch you dance last night. I was upset that you were last, but it was worth the wait. You were so graceful Jane, and you looked so beautiful. I have been a fan of yours for a long time. I feel a little star struck writing this now. I found this site because of the article about you in "Golf for Women".
One of the women I work with said today that you girls are going to give the guys a run for their money in this. It is true. You had my votes last night.
Sorry to go on,
Patti

Jane, I've never really watched Dancing with the Stars, but I did last night just to watch you, and you were simply wonderful. And yes I too went "Oh my god" when you fell backwards. Beautiful, simply beautiful! Of course now I'm hooked and am totally rooting for you and Tony to win. I truly think that the two of you were the best of all.

It was a thrill to watch you dance the other night. You certainly fulfilled your goal of doing it with elegance and grace! I'm glad to hear that it sounds as though you had as much fun as it appeared you did. A few nerves are always a good thing I think as they help keep one on their toes (no pun intended lol) during the actual event.
I have to ask you a favor as I can't seem to find a way to contact Mark Cuban. I noticed that last night he indicated that he had just had a total hip replacement on his left leg 7 weeks before rehearsas began (although I'm not sure how many weeks before the actual airing there are). As someone who is a bit over 8 weeks out from a THR (and who thought she was doing great! ie: walking short distances without a cane etc) I was stunned to see that he was dancing so soon. I don't know if you ever talk with him but I'd love to know if he went through any rigorous physiotherapy in the 7 weeks after his THR - in anticipation of the show. I've been doing my physio exercises religiously but am in no way ready to start ballroom dancing yet lol. It looks like he's only 3 years younger then I am, so I don't think age is a large factor. Anyway, I know this is a rather unorthodox way to contact you, but I wonder how many others like me are asking the same question, and I know we would all love to know what his secret was. Watching him dance, I don't think he exceeded any of the 3-month post-THR precautions, and I'm sure his surgeon gave him the OK, but color me curious!
I can't wait to see what you do next week. Good luck!

Keep up your spirits !! And stay positive!
