I had such a good time working on this painting. I think it was the look on this dog's face that got me going. He was such a funny little dog. When I look at him, I can imagine him sleeping, curled up on a pillow, snoring!

I wanted to combine some graphic edges with his living form, that was fun to incorporate the two ideas into the same painting. Kind of an abstract dog....

This is acrylic, I didn't used to like acrylics, but I'm starting to change my mind about them. Reason being it seems they don't take up so much room as my oils do when I'm painting with them. And I can close them up in the stay wet palette, so they don't get all over everything.
