This was in my ABOUT ME column, but i've decided to write something different there each week, so to keep from having to duplicate some things about me elsewhere, i'm just moving this over to my blog.

This is the part I hate doing the most.

It's like being at a job interview or meeting someone

for the first time and getting wolloped

with that dreadful command

"tell me something about yourself",

while the other person sits there with

an expectant, hopeful, pleasant, quizzical expression

on their face and I sit there

dying a slow death, as my life flashes before me,

leaving me dumbfounded as to what to say,

where to begin, what to tell, what to leave out, and

resenting the person for putting me on the spot that way.

For no matter what my reply is,

I feel like it's going to be a disappointment to them.

Only 30 seconds for this huh? sheesh!

here goes...

I've been a vegan for 37 years,

yet still fight with bad cholesteral levels

due to having the genetic type.

Have 2 beautiful daughters,

and one son

who is the personification of Dennis the Menace.

I had them very young so we

could grow up together,

and now that they have

flown-the-coop

i'm still young enough to enjoy life on my terms.

I earn my keep as a caregiver for the elderly,

handicapped and animals.

I grow to love each & every one of them.

I love all the domestic diva skills and enjoy sewing, cooking, organizing, cleaning, except for the dishes...grrr.

Having been seriously hurt in a car wreck in my teens,

I am a very cautious & safe driver.

I don't smoke or chew gum,

and only drink a little wine on special occasions.

I've never been arrested,

never been a bridesmaid,

and never gone to DisneyWorld.

I've been told I'm stubborn,

and that I snore sometimes.
I live for laughter

and have a peaceful, carefree, joyful personality.

I thank the Good Lord for each and every day

I'm given.

HE is every breath I take,

and every beat of my heart.

My love for people, animals, and nature is soul deep,

and I try to treat each with the utmost respect,

even though I have a bit of a cocky,

mischevious streak in me at times.

My Code-Of-Conduct-For-Life involves living by

the Golden Rule,

the Ten Commandments,

and the motto

that I'll Try Anything Once So Long As It Isn't

Illegal, Immoral or Fattening! :)

oops! Was that longer than 30 seconds?

Oh well....

brevity isn't one of my strong qualities : )
