Latitudes & Attitudes

Some days I really wonder
What my life is all about
With friends and family all asunder
It’s enough to make me shout

When I started out upon this path
So many many years ago
Sitting here I do the math
And ask, where did all that time and effort go

I think back about a million things
Things I might have otherwise done
Sometimes a tear that almost brings
And sometimes a smile, damn that one was fun

Times are there I really cherished
Times and people oh so very dear
Times when family and friends have perished
Times when reasons weren’t to me that clear

Would that I had a chance to do
All or some things differently once again
Would they be better this time done anew
Or would results just be tears or grins

Having finally made this last move
That I knew I always wanted to make
I knew the time had come to find my groove
I needed the ocean, not just a pool or a lake

Taking that plunge was really the best thing for me
When I made this major change in my Latitude
To this place where I always needed to be
Now I am so in love and at peace, with this new Attitude
