This weekend my daughter went away to college, and I'm sitting here alone, the house totally quiet. I thought I might be feeling lonely and sad now, but she is the reason I'm not.
As we were sitting in the car outside the dorm, after moving her in, doing paperwork all day, etc., she turned to me and said "Thanks for all you've done for me... not just today, but my whole life." Well, of course, it made me cry, as I am while I'm writing this, but it was a good cry. She turned it all into a day I'll remember forever for a good reason, instead of the day I started losing my little girl.
