I am Lori Bitter, President and CEO of Crew Media view link and Continuum Crew view link . My company recently acquired Eons.com from Jeff Taylor and his wonderful team. This is a very exciting time for my company. I am looking forward to getting to know you in the Eons community and hear your thoughts about how we can grow together.

I would like to start our conversation by sharing a few announcements, with you, the members, first, that I know have been on your minds and shared in the Eons community. First – EONS ISN’T GOING ANYWHERE! The site isn’t going away. We aren’t making huge changes. Our reason for purchasing Eons.com is your loyalty to your groups and participating with each other.

On the advertising side of our business, clients are always asking what people care about and want to understand how you think. If we changed the community, we wouldn’t have those insights. In fact we want to give you many more opportunities to weigh in, provide opinions and talk back to the companies who are designing products and services for you.

Second, Ri (once known to you as Suzy!) – your community director - ISN’T GOING ANYWHERE! We met her and felt an immediate kinship, just as all of you have. She is joining us to take Eons.com to the next level. Most important, she will make sure Eons is serving you and your voice is heard.

Acquiring a community like Eons.com is a tricky business. It started months ago with deciding if we could be a good steward of what Jeff and his team created for you. We took a look at all of the ideas you have submitted over time and what we could deliver to you. We aren’t planning to change what you love and we are making plans to add some of those things you’ve been waiting for.

We are very transparent as a company. Crew Media view link , which now owns Eons.com and the Eons Boom Media Advertising Network, is owned by an advertising agency that is focused on consumers over the age of 40. You may be worried that this means you will be inundated with advertising messages you don’t want or need. Our goal is to improve the quality of the messages you receive. We need advertising support to help us keep the site as you want it, but we also want to provide opportunities for advertisers to engage with you, get your opinions and provide better products and services. We look forward to your feedback as you see these improvements.

Finally, all you’ve read above is about my business. My company is a huge part of my life, and my team is like my family– in fact several are my family! (More about that as we get to know each other.) My true interest in the Eons community is simple. I’m 52 years old. I have an empty nest and I’m trying to figure out who I am without kids in my house. My husband is a terrific guy who thinks I need to chill out, and he’s had almost 30 years to assess that! And we are about to become grandparents for the first time. A baby boy due in June!

We just downsized to a condo in California so we can keep our wonderful cottage on the coast of Maine. We are caregivers, dog lovers, travelers and Midwesterners at heart. The one thing we have learned everywhere we have lived is that people are just people – as we move into these middle years we become more “us” and we enjoy each other more as we explore our passions and purpose. And that is why Eons.com is really important to me. You all explore this everyday in your groups. I can’t wait to be part of it!
