We had a fire the other day, a grass fire. The fire burned 80 acres. If it had crossed highway 395 and the wind changed direction we would have had a mandatory evacuation. As it was, it didn’t and we didn’t…good thing.
It was quite a ting to see the traffic backed up, for miles. Not to mention all the aerial assistance all the way from spotting planes to those dropping water and chemical retardant.
Our volunteer fire departments really deserve kudos’s!
