'Self' Appreciation
posted over 2 years ago
Too many women who are fortunate enough to reach that amazing time known as ‘mid-life’, find nothing in which to rejoice. Our mates, our children, our chosen professions, all have demanded, and received, the very best of us. We have been caregivers for the greater portion of our lives, the original 'multi-taskers', placing 'self' at the very bottom of our 'to-do' list.
Don't fear change, Ladies, it's a good thing! It's what life is all about. Step out, and into this time of life, with joy in your hearts! Give your 'self' consent to grow, learn, and develop fully. Take a long held interest, and delve into it, explore it, own it!
Cultivate new interests, ones that captivate you, ones that excite your imagination, your creativity, ones that will alllow you to put into action, your accumulated wisdom, experience, and talents. We are so much more than we were, and so much less than we could be. We deserve the best of what we can do for ourselves.
'Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.'
~Louisa May Alcott~
