I got up early today, when the wife's alarm went off at 6:30 am. Like I have said before I don’t like mornings but she didn’t want to get up and all the snooze button pushing kept me up. She finally got up at 8:00 am and by that time the dogs and I had been busy for a while. I had a number of errands to run so I got busy. I stopped by the Lowes and picked up an umbrella base, stopped at the Fence company office and paid them off. Stopped and picked up a small 12” pose-able manikin at the art supply store. Still have to go to the grocery store but came home to check the mail, e and snail. I will wait until tomorrow to make the grocery store.
I am sure glad I didn’t stop at Wal-Mart yesterday while I was next door at Lowes. There was a drive by shooting there and a guy was killed. They caught the shooter about 5 hours later he was in his 20’s what a waste; he will be another statistic in the prison system. He will be worse when he gets out than when he goes in. If he gets out. Last year we had 60+ homicides here in the metro area of Little Rock one of our worst years. I blame it on the Katrina displaced people from Louisiana, specifically New Orleans. I am not real sure of the numbers that were here, but have heard it was significant. 90% of them with there hands out right until the last of the money was gone. Some have stayed but that number is small. I will not touch on the race issue because in my eyes it’s a non-issue.
