We are at T (turkey) minus 2 days (almost) and counting...

As the big day approaches, I have been off the second medicine for 4 days now and am getting my strength and breathing back. And this year some of the things I will be most grateful for are:

Getting better once again (and again, and again). Like a phoenix. We are capable of putting up with quite a bit when you think about it. And that is a blessing and a gift. I give thanks for cheating the challenges!

I am grateful for the people that surround me, both here at home and on Eons.Their concern, care and GOODNESS is the best medicine a person could have.

I am grateful for the beauty of nature...the seasons we are witness to and their distinctive charm. For the barren trees outside the window that lift their branches in a prayer or a song.

I am grateful for the food we have, and how we have enough. More than enough. For the crisp vegetables and fruits, their color and textures...and how nourishing they are.

I am grateful for the song of birds, the antics of squirrels and the silky fur of my cat Mirage.

For the warmth of home, and the glow of home lights in the windows.

For freedom...to be as much as I allow myself to be. Freedom to travel, to worship, to have friends from many diverse backgrounds. All of these enrich life.

For all of these, for the gift of rising like a phoenix every blessed day...

I am grateful. Happy Thanksgiving, dear ones!
