Zeus and I headed up the street for our daily morning walk. He has become so acquainted with the squirrels and rabbits that he ignores them. But the large black crows are here today and for some reason, Zeus is not fond of them. There are six of them fighting over some food in a driveway and Zeus growls and lunges towards them sending them in flight squawking their dislike. We travel our route through the woods and into the field; a beautiful fall day. As we return home the crows reappear in the trees crying loudly and flapping around. We stop to see and in the tree there sits a big gray owl turning its head watching the crows as they dive bomb at him. We move closer, almost under the tree to get a better look. The owl takes off into the woods, the crows follow.

Later that day at work I told one of my co-workers of the event.
His comment was “And that means something?”
“Sure it does, have you even seen anything like that?”
After a moment of hesitation he replied “no, I can’t say I have.”
“See. A once in a life time thing and I can say I saw it with my own eyes.”

MORAL: Travel with your eyes wide open for you may see some things only once in a life time. There is too much to life to travel blind.
