Homeless, victim of hit and run...

Ever see that bumper sticker, “Mean People Suck”? Once I saw a rebuttal to that, it was funny as heck. Actually, it’s not mean people who give me trouble, it’s the “nice” people. You know the type, the jocks, the cheerleaders in high school, the kids so desperate to fit in that they will suck up to the leaders, the teachers and coaches, and spit down on those below them as unworthy. I actually had a nurse tell me that I should “suck up, spit down”. It was something she learned early on, she said. That’s charming, isn’t it? Well I never learned that, I had to tell her. Something lacking in my education. No wonder I’m not a “success”!
Back to local news here. They got the (alleged) killer of Mrs. Sterno. Got the nice lady on TV, with her face electronically altered but her Gene Juarez hair-do just perfect. Wonder why they altered her face? I’d never seen that before, except for juveniles, and she’s forty-seven. They’ve got her young boy toy interviewed too, saying she’s a nice person, not the kind “who would hit something.” Seems she thought she hit a piece of garbage in the road, is what she told the officers, then when she found out someone had died in a hit and run accident she “was afraid” so she didn’t come forward.
Yeah, she “hit something” alright, I’ll wager, boy bimbo. Maybe to her it was a sack of garbage, not worth pulling over for. To the good people of Snohomish County that something was a human being, not a sack of garbage. Now she’s gonna go down. Probably do a year, because she’s a nice “lady” with nice hair.
Forget about the mean people, watch out for the “nice” ones. They’re the ones that get you. They’re sneakier. Mean people are generally easy to spot. There’s a good example for you. I hope they throw the book at her, but doubt it. Call me cynical, I really don’t care.
