I have finally unpacked and settled in here with mom in the mountains. It is beautiful here. The mountains in the horizon and the leaves changing colors make for one vivid picture. But I feel out of place.
I am a city girl at heart and this country living is very strange for me.
For example when mom and headed to the store, I opened the passenger side door of my mom's car the other day and found a greenish splotch in by the hinge area of the door. I thought a leaf got stuck there so I took a swipe at it with my finger to knock it to the groud. Well, boy howdy, the "leaf" sprung at me. I jumped and screamed. My poor mom almost jumped out of the car. All because my green leaf turned out to be a small tree frog. No one told me frogs like to hide in cars!!! Heck I thought they like trees...that's why they are called tree frogs!!!!!
It is a strange place with strange critters for this city girl. Train horns, car tires screeching, loud boom boxes and noisy parties I am used to...but this critter infected quiet takes some getting used to.
