I got up at 7 am !!!! I couldn’t sleep, well the dog couldn’t sleep because I don’t think I would have had his problem. At least not yet. He is 16 and if I should be lucky enough to live that long (112 human years) guess I would hurt also. He would startle himself, or something would hurt. Don’t really know what the problem was.
The fence installation was started today and all the posts are up and will finish tomorrow. There will be a garden party, yard warming, birthday celebration, retirement party. She will retire effective the last day of July. The first Saturday in August. I am hoping it will be a great get together. The wife and I have invited all our friends, relatives, and her co-workers. We have seating for about 20 outside now and will probably have some inside.
It was quite a crew installing the first part of the fence, mostly kids. The crew chief was a volunteer fireman and quite a character. Big burley guy of about 6’ and 250 lbs. he sure could swing that sledge hammer. There wasn’t any power tools in use today, all manual labor instruments. Sledge hammer, post hole diggers, pry bars, buckets and wheel barrows. It was a warm and humid morning and they were packed up and on the way by noon……but not before lots and lots and lots of sweat.
