I've been posting to my LiveJournal for about 2.5 years, now. I've met some great people on Eons, and I thought maybe I'd try out the blog here.
Today my badge was turned off... by accident, as it happens. My assignment ends on Friday, I should be able to get in and out until then! If they changed their minds, it would've been nice to get the word BEFORE I drove almost 40 miles to get here. But like I said, it was an accident and my badge is good again. Thanks for the scare, folks.
I finally emailed Jared and was assured that the agency is looking for something else for me to do, so yay. :) Much as I'm bored in the position I'm in, I'm used to this company. Hey, maybe they'll find something for me in another company. But anyway, nothing for me to do but wait and see.
There are two people behind us who want our LV apartment. :( And there's a bit of a debacle now because they want $1800 security (wtf?) and Rich and Kim SHO' don't have that kind of money. I got my quarterly statement from my retirement thingy (I forget what you call it.... the thing that's NOT an IRA). I've got almost $20K and I think I'm gonna have cash it in... and give about 1/3 of it to rich people (I cannot BEAR to name any names)... because God knows, the rich people need my money. But it'll be enough to pay the security plus the mover. I REALLY want that apartment! Again, nothing to do but wait and see if the owner will let us pay the security deposit in installments.
I bought some candy for the office and ate entirely too much of it, so I'm revving in a tired sort of way. Plus I feel out of sorts...
You know, I really should blog about something other than my own black butt. Maybe that's what I'll practice doing here. :)
