I've been done my radiation treatment for five wks. Even had my one month follow up with Radiation Oncology, then another one with just Oncology. Started my five year plan. Honestly, how lucky I've been is incredible, mostly cuz of stage diagnoses, and treatment. Spirit and attitude after diagnoses was everything. Unfortunately, although I literally have “THE NUMBER ONE HEALTH INSURANCE in this country”, they will not pay for the radiation. We will exhaust every avenue to hopefully get it paid. 100k!
But, I need to say something that even as bad as that sounds and believe me that will be the worst news ever if it sticks. I am amazed at how people react to you telling them you have Breast Cancer. I haven't told too many people to begin with. But the selective few I have told about 40-50% don't respond, literally. Even thou, I'm telling them I'm fine, I was lucky, I'm doing great. I had one nurse tell me before a colonoscopy near the end of my breast cancer radiation treatment, I was just in denial. Wow! Why are people so weird, and who are they to assume?

I do realize I only have my family first and myself to worry about. You can't control people thoughts or actions. We all deal in our own ways.
