Survived the Station Fire.
Mandatory Evac went out Sat 1215 PM PST.
Went to sisters home whose just moved from Las Vegas.
Stayed from Sat to Monday.
Whew.
Scary.
Didnt know IF home burned etc.
Then IF Not NO acess to get clothing etc.
One must prepack for Evac IE
Art objects
Records/Files
Documents
Finances
Pets
Foods?
etc to EZ carry away.
Made me rethink whole life now.
Yes my home was spared.
Live in Paradise Valley area in La Canada CA
Google La Canada CA from Google Maps.
Google Ocean View Blvd.
I was in the Evac Zone.
Smoke smell gone for most part.
Hills barren, next rains & floods.
This was the BIGGEST fire for this area to date.
Tonite still moving E to Pasadena area.
Burning 60 yrs of brush alone.
Saw 2 deer last nite- doe & fawn on our hillside.
This after the Fire, NOT 2,3 etc months.
Now we face heat, humidity from Hurriance hitting Baja CA Mex.
But NO smoke.
Now I need some resealable plastic trunks to house Docs etc for EZ move.
Had it NOT been for the Internet wed never know anything about Fire progress etc.
Internet is a Lifesaver Info wise for ANY event.
