I love for people to read my new novel and learn from it and communicate with me.
It is about a woman of fifty who expects to join her film director husband in England and finds she is not really needed so decides to find an inner life of her own.
I think we all have to do this and my novel is about one woman's adventure. Relationships are complicated and the responsibility and work never ends.
I asked my granddaughter what would make her father happy and she answered that her mother being happy would make him happy. I think that is true of most relationships.
Strangely enough that is what my book is actually about and so many things I wrote have come to pass in my own life, although I was not aware of it when I was writing.
I love to share what I have learned and also to learn more so I can write more. The poetry at the beginning of the chapters by Rumi and Rainer Maria Rilke and the Japanese poets are astounding and I was amazed how they fit with my work.
