I am upset reguarding this also and I am emailing many of this problem I had signed petitions reguarding this a while back unfortunately I deleted the email afterwards.

This is just one more example of how completely our so-called President doesn't know or care what life is really like for most of us. As "slyver" wrote, this is horrifying.

Sorry people, I have to disagree. It is not a function of government to provide for those who are too dumb or lazy to provide for themselves. People must accept responsibility for their own actions. If you cannot provide for children, don't have them. Congressional benefits are yet another distinctly different issue. Looking for government to solve problems of your own making is a cop out. If you actually take a real look, you will find that the "Nanny State" creates far more problems than it attempts to solve.

And, if you expect government to solve your problems, you will get just what you deserve.

Wacko, I have to agree with you. I believe, if you take the time to stop blaming the administration for all your ills, that you will find that most states already have programs in place to cover children's medical coverage, and that the federal program was redundant. Why do we need to offer both a federal and state program for the same thing. If we can eliminate the federal program, how many dollars we will be saving? And before you all get out the noose, and the posse, perhaps a trip back to civics class might be helpful. Gdub, while the figurehead, is not the only person in DC. Why are you not upset with your Senators and Congressional leaders for allowing this to happen? The news readers have done a good job of smearing an administration, and while he may not be the brightest bulb in the box, he alone is not responsible for all you problems.

YOUR elected Congressional leaders have more impact on these things than Bush, so who is really to blame? Of course, the democratic controlled Congress should not have to accept any blame or responsibility, should they? We, as taxpayers, have demanded that we lower the federal government spending, and reduce the debt. So, when they try to do this, we complain? Well, another route to take would be to raise taxes, but no one wants to see that, so I guess we have a problem.

Sorry, but we can not have it both ways. As of today, we rely too much on the government to solve our problems. I, for one, would much rather the government be less involved in my life, as most government "help" ends up being a money drain for very little result.

Waco that is about what that opinion is worth. Bad things do happen to good people. Let's hope you are never one of the unfortunate ones. Because it does not make any difference what you have now you could loose it all tomorrow. Remember the stock market crash? Sick children do not make well able-bodied working adults. And yes I started working at the age of 14 and have worked 2 jobs most of my life so don't give me that crap about to lazy or too dumb. The opinions of geoerge bush are those of a spoiled brat who has been given everything he has ever had and never earned anything. Everyone else has supported and propped this man up his whole life. Of course that is different because he is better than you or me.

Ok, this post is misearbly misleading. The author is trying to mislead you.

First of all, CHIPS is stalled in congress not dead.
Second, Bush has proposed an increase, but not a high enough increase to satisfy big spending democrats.
Third, no polititian is stupid enough to vote against this bill. If they are they won't be coming back for another term.

Calm down and get the facts right before accusing Bush of taking away their insurance.

Rad, that is why I posted the links so that if people were interested they could read the body of the articles and see the post was misleading.

of course it is the governments responsibilty. the Gov, is the collective head of a very large household. someone needs to pay the collective bills and determine where any excess should be spent, preferably on health care! simplify- wouldn't you as head of household provide health care for thos in your household?
