WOW! Summer's here and I'm moving just as fast as the rest of the year! No slowing down this time around. Between grandkid-sitting, helping my senior mom, and writing writing writing, I'm just as busy now as in the midst of the school season. I did take time to fill out the EONS Woodstock survey, which was fun. It did bring back some fun memories. Remember Twiggy, Harpers Bazaar, and Donovan????
Over at SandwichINK, I've continued to enjoy participating in the Boomers & Seniors Blog Carnival, as well as the EldercareABC Blog Carnival. I've had fun sharing the Bible memory project my grandkids and I are working on - The Fruit of the Spirit. Skin Cancer treatments have kept my mom busy and my fingers typing to warn everyone to make sure to use plenty of sunscreen this summer. A summer burn is no fun now and it's even less fun ten years from now when the dermatologist has to see you every three months to burn off or cut off tiny skin cancer cells.
I think my favorite post in the last month has to be Blue Moo for the Sandwich Generation - view link - featuring a delightful video of Davy Jones of the Monkees singing the cutest song about Penguins. It's one of several great songs on a Sandra Boynton cd my grandkids are going to LOVE and frankly - I love it too! The 50s style songs make my feet itch to dance the songs are eminently singable, with or without grandkids! :)
I do hope you'll pop over to enjoy it and say a quick howdy while you are there. :)
