COLLECTING ARROWHEADS AND ARTIFACTS........
posted over 2 years ago, updated 6 minutes later
6/29/09.......ATTENTION CLARIFICATION to all peoples. It is against the law to collect arrowheads/artifacts on Indian Reservations, and Public Lands, and all areas administered by our government entities the DOI, BIA, BLM, USFS, and STATES PARKS. I collect only on PRIVATE LANDS with permission of landowners. Also I donate my collections to Nevada State Museum at Carson City, the University Collections at UNR, and the collections of business owner Moe at the Whigwam in Fernley Nevada as anonymous donations. The best way to be involved in discovery of historical artifacts is to register with a college or university archeaology class to go on archeaological digs. Use ArcheaologyToday.com to find interesting digs you can register for and take part in all over the world. Help preserve history, and keep it out of the hands of private collections. I believe our history past and present belongs to the people of PLANET EARTH, AND MUST BE PROTECTED AND PRESERVED FOR ALL FUTURE GENERATIONS. Thank you, Erik Johnson/NamVet

Expeditionists with integrity such as yourself, prove the point that it is incumbent upon all of us to preserve our past so that those in the future may truly know from whence they came.
Thank you,
Sherri

...........you are welcome Auntie Gene. Yes, the greater our population, the more rapidly unsecured resources are depleted. What better way to make more money off of something then to make millions of little fragments available for sale. It has both a good side and bad side. For those just wishing to capatalize off of something and exploit it to the fullest, a million pieces for a dollar each will help sustain and operation for years perhaps. But also as my wife and I did in our bead and gem store, we collected up all the fragments everybody else left as worthless and garbage, and so we had lots of little bits of real history available for a few cents, and hundreds of people and their kids had a chance to own something that was real and worthy, that might of otherwise just been buried and forgotten and never recognized for what it really was. Like so many things, it is often a two sided conjecture...
