This picture of Christ with a tear can be a good represention of Live Earth or SOS....what are you doing to save our earth.....for more info you can go to the link: www.liveearth.org....sign up and do your part....Peace
I agree the picture is a bit too much. We as mankind have ourselves to blame but don't go telling someone else what they will or won't do to help heal our planet. It all starts with doing one thing and then another, it has to start somewhere, maybe even with you Smokin Bill...
To SmokinBill.....what are you doing to make things better.....I have been doing things to trying to make a change for the better for years now....whatever small part I can make maybe others will follow.....And if you read your bible you would know that the Endtimes is now....we all need to do our part....and yes man made these problems but it has to stop somewhere so even though I am not putting blame on anyone it doesn't mean we can't try and turn things around.....
Sorry there, but My Bible says that the earth and the beasts are there for our use. And that is exactly what I am doing. God put all that water there for me to get in my little boat and harvest His little fishes.
Well Flywacko...you really missed the point.....this really had nothing to do with the bible.....and think about it your boat puts waste into the water do you really think you will have those fishies...think about all that....
Gingerpink, I really hate to be the one who bursts your bubble, but hogwash...All things on this planet, including the planet itself, are here for only one purpose. For us to use, consume, or otherwise make profitable or recreational use of. This includes animal, vegetable, mineral or any other element. What other purpose could there be ??? We are the dominant species, the top of the chain, and if you do believe in what the Bible has to say, it is quite specific. If there are any real problems, and not just the scare tactics that the eco-idiots use to raise finding, technology will find a way to handle it as soon as it becomes profitable to do so.
Have you seen the bumper sticker "Earth first, we'll stripemine the other plants later?" That seems to be the way most people feel. That's why we are where we are today. Few places to find clean water, but we demand people to put organtic dog crap in a plastic bag and fill our landfills with that suff but we're to lazy to put our fast-food junk in the trash bins. All any of us can do is just do our best to work toward saving the earth for our children and grandkids and hope that people will do the same when they think of their grandkids.
I guess you guys that think every thing on this planet is yours to use up and "consume " don't think about taking care of the earth. Some people have a new car and fill it with trash and don't maintane it and the engine is in ruins , others keep it well tuned and clean, as an example .There is no "away " to throw pollution , it stays here , on this planet in some landfill or some else's yard ( as you drive by their house and toss it out ). You want to quote the Bible , but you don't want to live it . There is a finite amount to things to consume . You should treasure the wonders God has created , if you belive in God.Where are your fish going to live once the lakes are all polluted? ( or don't you ever see that on the news, too busy with your head in the sand ) It would hurt any one to do a little part to help out .
I saw part of the SOS concert and was truly shocked at how "man" thinks he can repair the planet, ridiculous for many reasons! I am a bible believer and Christ is my Saviour and the word of God says there will be a new heaven and a new earth, and that he will destroy this one. Currently we are in what the bible terms "a time of sorrows". God has always given everyone a fair chance to return to Him and do His will and before he really sends His wrath he sends signs to awaken the souls unto salvation. The scriptures are full of many references to God sending these warning signs; floods, earthquakes, no rain, too much rain, heat and cold out of their seasons etc. The word of God even talks of heat coming in the hundreds of degrees, which "man" is blaming on people. There is no "clean up crew" that can stop what is coming to the world -Period! I'm sure this will not set well with some of you and truly I mean no offense and yes I do believe in being a good steward with what God has given us and I do this in many ways to this day, but my purpose is in being a good steward, not to try and clean up what the industrial revolution and mans greed has placed on us. God is going to destroy this planet and our job is to get informed and be right with Him. I have a link I would like all concerned to view it explains all this much better than I can. There is a short video, watch it and learn view link

My Bible also says we are to be Good Shepherds of what God gives us. Whether it is a lamb that is lost or a world that is getting more polluted by the hour, God didn't mean we should be Good Shepherds of just the stuff we prefer. We cannot pick and choose. He holds the whole world in His hands, and entrusted it to us for our wise use. Wake up and smell the sulfur dioxide. I really think you would prefer that your great-grandchildren would also have fish to catch or game animals to hunt, right? That may not happen if we don't shepherd our resources.
It is a difficult concept to grasp, maybe that is why many people take the easy way out.
this is so true....and really it doesn't have to come down to a religous thing....it should be something we all want....after all doesn't everyone take care of their clothes, body and homes....maybe not.....all this is about taking care of what we have so that maybe the future won't be bad for our greatgreatchildren.....show some respect to our planet...and maybe if we all do our part Jesus won't be so mad when He returns......think about it!

I guarantee you aren't willing to do what is necessary to clean up what generations of man has done or even slow down the degradation of Earth.
