If I was Twenty years younger I would go back to school to be an Engineer for designing roads in NJ...
I do believe though I could probably go on line and print a diploma!
I would have maybe a little more knowledge of how the roads should flow than these little gems that designed these roads.
Let us just take 676 off The Ben Franklin Bridge
You are heading for south 295 to the Delaware
Memorial Bridge.
As you come to the part of the road where the Walt Whitman Dumps the traffic onto 676 you bottle neck two major flows of traffic.
Now it is like the game Frogger or The Chicken crossing the road.
You have to cross five lanes to get into the lane to pick up 295 exit only lane...
Try this in a bus load of kids or a fully loaded truck..
You have approximatley five minutes on a good day.
Where you exit this part of the road you come into Route42 the Atlantic City expressway??
south 295 is also dumped into this highly renovated jumble.
My daughter times me every time we drive this road to see how long before the comments and one liners start to flow..
The young graduate probably was driving a week or two and was the brothers son of someone...
I guess NJ needed acouple more dollars this year to pay for the glorious roads.
My daughter bought a car.
We paid the tax like all good patrons of the state.
We had a new tax today added to all the others...
Ready??
We paid a tire tax it was $1.50 per tire including the spare...
I guess that was to help pay for the asphalt they throw down in a torrential rain storm to fill our
many potholes..
Come to New Jersey and watch your asphalt wash away.. they see a puddle they fill it.
On a clear day they are busy making are roads better!! tearing up and improving our traffic jams...Yea right.
If you think South Jersey is bad go north.
The problems are multiplied..Stopping every few miles to pay another toll..
Six lanes into three before the rest stops.
Hey You other states need more money tax the tires
Why not the windshield wipers why should they be free??
Don't forget the lights there you can really make some big bucks...
High beams, low beams, hazard lights, turn signals, stop lights, Hey I am on a roll...there is atleast 12.00 more!!
Go NJ!
We use to be the Garden State
We are now The state that taxes tires!
