Ah, Life!
posted over 2 years ago
With the passing of my last two dogs this year, I AM finally alone. I always thought that would be a great thing. But actually, I think this has taken the most adjustment of anything I have done in my life. My sister told me once she could not wait until her husband went on his business trips so she could do what she wanted to do. She said she would spend most of her time thinking "WOW, what do I want to do?" I have gotten to that point in my life. I have done for everyone but me--so now is the time to think, "Wow, what DO I want to do?" I think it is mostly doing what I want to do and not feeling guilty, or that I really should be doing something else. Just do what you want and ENJOY IT!

I always though I'd do best married to a sailor who spent more time on a ship than on shore. :) Being alone never bothers me, being lonely is tough.
