The documentary, Running Dry, is about the world’s water crisis, something I’m very involved with and have been working on for a couple of years.
I just feel great that I’m able to make a difference in my own way. I’m not a politician. I am who I am. But at least I’m able to express my concerns, and I’m able to do it with the limited opportunities and the limited abilities that I have to try to impact humanity in an authentic way. I think that’s what we need. We hear statistics. We read studies. But very few people get the human connection to it.
The loss of life, war, the real cost of poverty and of what’s going on in Third World countries in terms of the fact that they don’t even have clean water to drink or any ability to deal with their own sewage. I’ve had the opportunity to go to those places and, working with Jim Thebaut, managed to come up with this documentary which I think will be a real eye-opener for all of us about the water crisis.
