Very disturbing by gloriajoan

Today someone sent me one of those forwarded "chain type" emails showing Hispanic students at Montebello High School (not sure where that is). They had taken down our American flag and put up a Mexican flag. Then they put the American flag upside down under the Mexican flag. This should never be tolerated. It is very scary to think what our country is becoming.

This after hearing yesterday how our President bowed before the King of Saudi Arabia. Unbelievable conduct for an American President. So sad that our President doesn't hold the sovereignty and love for our great country close to his heart.

God Have Mercy on America!!!

Go to Snopes and read what "really" happened. It took place March 26, 2006. The flag was placed on the Flag pole by students from other campuses. Montebello California students were in lock-down by the time the protesting students arrived on their campus. This thing has been going round and round on the Internet for over 3 years.

Of course it should not have happened at all but like adults, there are a lot of students out there that need to support their country and flag. It is not the kids that started all of the garbage about taking "Under God" out of the pledge or "In God we trust" off the money.

People should attempt to investigate before passing these things around.

You are right, Barbara, I should have checked Snopes, sorry. However, I do believe we Americans need to start standing up for what is right in general and not let the few discriminate again the many. We all have the right to our opinion and we should all have the right to express it but not mandate it. Live and let live, I guess you'd say. I don't know, some things get very complicated. Sometimes I get really angry at some of the stuff like trying to take God out of everything but then I remember that He is in control. Hope you have a very blessed Easter.
