Is Anybody Out There??

Its been a while since I have heard from my friends here on Eons. I know the economy is crazy and sure that everyone has on their mind how to survive the next day. So perhaps that is why I havent heard from anyone lately. Here back where I live my husband has been laid off since the end of January. Still working parttime at a grocery store, I am holding the family up. My husband thank goodness, is eligible for unemployment. I have a full honeydo list for him to keep busy with. Maybe it is a time of reflecting on where we are at the moment and catching up on those things which before seemed impossible to take care of. I thankfully have both my husband and daughter on my insurance so at least everyone is covered in that respect. Our house has been paid for since 2002, I guess we are one of the lucky ones. We were able to pay the city taxes and get our vehicle repaired. We are blessed!! Since this last summer we have cut back like a lot of people over the world. One of the things we have done is to make casseroles, soups and sandwiches. Clothes are not a important issue right now but if we need something we get it 75 percent off and check out the dollar stores. You would be amazed how much you can save and also how many American products are sold at the dollar stores, everything for a dollar stores, etc. Our youngest is in college and we luckily qualify for financial aid. Because of her good grades she also earned a scholarship, which we did not apply for.We belong to a great church family, although I cant always make it because of my work schedule. Still can enjoy my singing for a stress reliever and recently could take part in a retreat for a weekend with the gals I sing with and it was good to get away even for a bit. I am still working on losing weight and exercise every morning. Although the weight doesnt seem to be coming off it helps the endorphins at least. I am sure ready for spring and the changes ahead it looks to be a interesting year in the future.
