...a buzz word that has gotten a lot of buzz on the eons singles scene...thought I would share the origin of the term as it is associated with people meeting people...the transition from cyber friends to real friends...while a very proud and active member of the ALT 50+ Singles group (which, sadly, was the primary casualty of a war of one), I decided that I wanted to meet some of wonderful people I had clicked with online...there were so many friends in so many places across the country...I wanted to visit them all...so, not being a woman of means, I posted that I was financing my trips by Spending the Kids Inheritance...as more and more zoomates (our self-named residents of the group) wanted to also meet, the next logical move was to start a tour of meet and greets...I then announced the beginning of the Spending the Kids Inheritance Tour (yes, SKIT)...the first SKIT was in San Diego...then a group of us went to New Orleans for a rockin' SKIT...there was an Oregon SKIT...and a North Carolina SKIT...since the first SKITs, there have been so many on the ALT 50+, 50+ Singles, and 50+ Night Owl Singles...my new home, The Petting Zoo, promises more SKITs to come...the exciting next SKIT is the big loveboat cruise in mid-July...there is only one rule for a trip to deemed part of the SKIT: one or more eons member must actually travel to meet another eons member or members...distance is not a factor...it can be across the street or across the country...I have made some fabulous friends thanks to SKIT, and plan to have many more...
Hope this does not make me sound like a PITA, but I like to take the opportunity when I can to relive the origin of SKIT...thanks
