BUDDY, is our Austrailian Shepherd. We live in a country area, surrounded by deep cement irrigation ditches. Buddy is terrified of thunder. He will run wildly during a storm. About 7 years ago we had a bad thunder storm. The neighbor called and said he had to go get Buddy out of the irrigation ditch in the next section of land. Buddy couldn’t walk at all and Roger had to lift him out of the ditch. We picked him up and drove him to the Emergency Vets in our area. Buddy had to be tranquilized to even do the x-rays. He was in bad shape – at least a broken pelvis and injury to his back. My husband wanted him put down. I, of course, said NO! We brought him home. My brother in California had seen PAAWS ads on his TV so I ordered a lot. Buddy started getting it right away and within 3 months was able to at least stand up. He has had it every day since then. He is now 16+ years old and can jump over a 2 foot fence and outrun my cats. He is thinner now that he can run than he is in the picture. His legs are still a little stiff but his age is amazing! PAAWS has saved his life. All 5 of my dogs, (my chemo companion, a Yorkie, a Cairn Terrier, a Scottie, a Border Collie and Buddy) get it every day.
