I've been in Kansas for almost 4 months now and have really enjoyed my time here. I love the peaceful quiet, although if you sit outside and listen, it's anything but quiet. You can hear the coyotes howling at night...from a distance there's a cow who's always pissed off at something and makes mournful "moo's."
So many different birds..I was sitting outside yesterday imitating a bird's sound, and we went back and forth for a while whistling to each other. It was pretty cool.
I've enjoyed walking almost every day (except when it's just too cold). I bring back a rock from each walk and have been putting them in a bucket. It's starting to look pretty darn good in that bucket.
I still love to stand in the front yard and just look up at the stars at night. They are just awesome.

Unfortunately, my time here is coming to an end. Not by my choice, so there's a bit of a heartbreak involved. It's funny because so many people thought I was going to break this man's heart, and he fooled everybody and broke mine instead. But it's all good, we still care immensely for each other and will always be dear friends.

So, my next chapter will be from back in Florida. Stay tuned. :-)
