The Seed of Life

What is the meaning of life? From whence do we get our purpose and direction? There are those who say that meaning and purpose are written in our hearts and in the very fabric of our beings. Since ancient times some of sought for meaning in the numbering of things. Find out what really counts by counting it.

Draw a circle. Fix a point on the circumference of the circle and rotate the circle about that point. If rotate the circle by a fixed amount, say 60 degrees, then you will wind up with what looks like a flower pattern caused by the intersection of the circles. You will wind up with what is called the Flower of Life. The Flower of life is a geometric pattern derived from a circle. If you create a geometrical object this way, you may notice that an additional circle could be formed by drawing a curve through all the points at which the rotating circles intersect. You thus have seven circles, a number which corresponds to the 7 days the Bible records that it took to make the earth. This construction is called the Seed of Life. Stack the Seed of Life up in a hexagonal pattern and you have the Flower of Life.

A circle is considered to be a representation of infinity. If you are sitting on the circumference of a circle then there is no end or beginning. So from this little infinity, larger infinities follow. We intersect two circles and get the Vesica Pisces which is the second stage of the creation of the seed of life. From there you go to the third stage which is the intersection of three circles and is called the tripod.
