Today has taken a long time to happen. We inaugurate Barrack Obama as our new President. Our hopes have never been higher, for new changes for our country.
I can't help, but think back to my childhood. I grew up in Arkansas, and my town experienced alot of racial problems. I can remember our town under marshal law with National Guards everywhere, an active KKK in my town, and so many more sad things.
I was very fortunant to have great parents, that taught me to love everyone, gave me a great love of God, and that skin color didn't make a person, but rather, the content of their character, just like Dr. King said.
Today, Iam so thankful, not only because we are getting a new President. Yes, he is black, that doesn't matter, yes he is young with so many problems to try to correct, but most of all, this is a great man! I have no doubt that God has raised this man up. He needs our prayers, good thoughts, or whatever you belive in. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
