Martin Luther King Jr. talked about a dream of men being equal regardless of the color of his skin. Abraham Lincoln led our nation into a brutal war to enforce the premise of all men are created equal. The original premise of the equality of man was a cornerstone of our Constitution. That the inalienable right of each individual was freedom, equality, and the pursuit of happiness. Our great nation has finally matured into a national realization of that premise. What an awesome achievement for a nation of diverse peoples and cultures. A wonderful example of Democracy at work to all nations of our troubled world. Our nation still leads the world in civil society. It is an awesome achievement that a premise of equality, that has seen the sacrifice of many lives, is realized by a peaceful election process by all the people.
