Well, it was June 24, 2008 that I said good-bye to Noah, a "prince" whose love for me was complete and unconditional. view link

My friends on eons came out of the woodwork to support me - you all are amazing! And one after the other, they encouraged me to open my heart to someone new, in good time.

Well, fate has introduced me to Bou (pronounced "Boo" for "Bouvier") whose owner is moving out of the country and can't take Bou with her.

He's 9, so he is older, and there is so much to love about an older dog. He's sturdy, cow-herding stock, with a thick curly coat and cropped tail that makes him look more like a bear. Weighing 95 pounds, he's comparable to Noah in size. He is sweet, and unlike Noah, is not the dominant type, so he'll get along well with just about any person or creature (well, except maybe cats)that cross his path.

I'm a little nervous. It's an expense, and in these tough times we are trying to CUT expenses. Also, he will be 10 years old in March. But, he is the healthiest 10-year-old dog I have ever seen! He jumps straight up into the air, as if on a pogo stick, and can walk 3 miles with no problem.

So, I'm opening my heart again to a great fellow. I hope he loves it here, and I hope we do right by him and make his life a happy one.

Wish me luck!
