Greetings, darlings… and… sob… a few tears. There have been so many passings lately of the great ones, the true stars and icons of yesteryear. Now two more have gone to that great back lot in the sky.
Ricardo Montalban, 88, just passed away at his home. And you know what gripes me? Well, as you can imagine, I’m going to tell you. The first reports I read of his death identified the Mexican-born actor “the star of ‘Fantasy Island’” which, I guess, is true.
But for heaven’s sake, sweeties, long before he was in that silly TV show, Montalban was an MGM star from the golden days of old Hollywood. And what about his incredible turn as Captain Kirk’s most worthy foe ever – the ripped with muscles Khan in “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan”?

Montalban gave the character, who could have been a caricature of machismo, the sensibilities of a Shakespearian tragedy figure. And he was sexy as all get out playing the role in his 60s or there abouts.. What a handsome, classy, hunka hunka he was!
Also moving on today -- Emmy-winning British actor Patrick McGoohan, 80, who created and starred in the cult classic television show "The Prisoner” ( which, dontcha know, in this increasingly Big Brother world is seeming more real than surreal this days…) He played the mysterious title character known as “Number Six”.

His last big role was probably as King Edward Longshanks in the 1995 Mel Gibson film "Braveheart." He was classically handsome but had a kind of devilish but intelligent look in his eyes… soooooo different from many of today’s cookie cutter actors.
And from the At Least They Haven’t Bought The Big One Yet files, Steve Jobs just announced well, yeah, he really IS a lot sicker than he’s let on… kind of , sort of. The chief executive of Apple, who has turned into the incredible shrinking man and worried lots of people by his extreme weight loss following a bout with pancreatic cancer, is taking a leave of absence.
He sent an e-mail to employees saying his health problems are "more complex” than he had thought.
Patrick Swayze, who is currently fighting his own battle with pancreatic cancer, is still the hospital, by the by, but I hear he’s doing well. He checked himself in due to a stubborn cough and rightly so – turns out he has pneumonia. Reviews are just coming in for his new show, "The Beast”, and while some critics aren’t nuts about it, Swayze’s acting is getting raves.
OkokokOK!!! I know what you are thinking. You see, I’m psychic – or psycho.. hmmm.. I forget. I get those two mixed up.
Anyway, I bet you are thinking eNOUGH of the deaths and sick list stuff.. So let’s talk about Oprah and BOOBS!
Say whaaat?
Say in an interview on Tuesday, TV talk show queen Oprah kept on and on and on lauding Kate Winslet's breasts and telling Winslet how proud the actress should be because they are "real."
Winslet has nude scenes in her new movie "The Reader” and apparently Oprah was simply stunned to see an actress on the screen with silicon-free boobs.
"I love the fact that you have real breasts! I love that you have real breasts! Because in all the breast scenes, your breasts do what real breasts do,” Oprah kept enthusing.
Kate cupped both of her girls and replied, "Thank you so much. You mean that kind of thing? And this kind of thing? And the moment when they race for sanctuary under your armpits when you lie on your back?"
Winfrey ended the show by giving the British actress a high five, and once again exclaiming: "God bless your REAL BREASTS!"
That’s it for this edition, darlings. Come back soon for more sometimes ditzy, occasionally dizzy, and always dishy Gossip au Go Go. In the meantime, go out there and have EONS of fun and inspire people to exclaim, “ Now that puts the BOOM in Boomer!”

I would say that Oprah handled that in typical titular fashion, wouldn't you. LOL
