“The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.” – Coco Chanel. view link

Greetings, darlings! It’s a week into 2009 – are we having fun yet??? Well, let’s work on that by dishing some you-know-what.. i.e., dirt, rumors, celeb news... in a nutshell ( emphasis on “nut” when it comes to my take on this stuff), GOSSIP!!!

From the Stork May Be Arriving Late But He’s Arriving Department: At 55, actor Tim Allen is set to become a daddy again ( he has one teen daughter from a previous marriage to his college sweetheart ). His wife, Jane Hajduk, 42, is an actress who does voice-over work. The two are expecting their first child around spring.. perfect season for nesting and all that.

And here are a couple of quick “ they’re over it” and “crash, bam, boom” items. Say whaaat? Say Patricia Arquette, who plays a woman who peers into the future on “Medium”, has dumped her hubby of 3 years, actor Thomas Jane, and filed for divorce.

She was previously married to serial husband Nicolas Cage ( good grief, can you believe he was once married to Lisa Marie Presley, too? Now he’s married to a former waitress, if what’s left of my memory after New Year’s Eve serves..) And “Ghost Whisperer” star and newly skinny Jennifer Love Hewitt picked Christmas to tell her fiancé of two years, the very hunky Scottish actor Ross McCall , that the wedding is off.

Oh, and here’s the crash, bam , boom part – remember outrageously queenly and prissy comic Rip Torn? He’s 77 and was just busted in Connecticut for a DUI. Here’s the scoop – he failed a sobriety test, refused a Breathalyzer and allegedly let loose with a tirade of cussing directed toward the cops. He’s pleading not guilty, just silly and loud. OkokokOK, I made the last part up.

From my “ I Told You So” files: Yep, Diedre Hall has officially been “let go” from “Days of Our Lives” after 32 long years and filmed her last episode (it will air January 23rd). Long-time co-star Drake Hogestyn was fired , too.

And get this – according to the National Enquirer ( which I read so YOU don’t have to, darlings), she finished her last line on December 17 and wasn’t given a good-bye party or even a thank you from her producer bosses! AND she had to pay to have her own stuff packed into a moving van and taken off the set.

I have thought of "Days of Our Lives" as "Days of Our Whines” for years.... I predict the whole poorly written, woodenly-mostly-acted-by-20-somethings soap will be put out of its misery within a year.. here’s a good article about "Days.." and how awful the show has become -- view link

Anyhoo, I say onward and upward, Diedre! She’s gorgeous, classy and a wonderful actress. In fact – woo woooo --- I have a great idea for the perfecto series for her. So would someone PULEAZE have Diedre’s people call my people and we’ll do lunch and discuss options.

I started Gossip au Go Go last week with a quote from the fabulous, feisty, feline-sexy Eartha Kitt, who went to that great cabaret gig in the sky on Christmas Day. Her beautiful and only daughter, Kitt Shapiro, was with her when she passed, says her beloved mom was funny and joking right up to the end. Daughter Kitt said she was talking loudly, thinking her fading mom probably couldn't hear well, and Eartha said with a laugh, “ I’m dying . I’m not losing my hearing!”

That’s it for now, sweeties. Go out there and have eons of fun, inspiring people to exclaim, “ Now that looks like a BOOMingly good time!”
