For the past 4 weeks, I have had severe asthma and had to stay in bed, or do little tasks around the house. I was out one previous day at 45 degrees enjoying the walk, and that night was coughing and all all nite. Sore throat so bad. I talked to nurse with symptoms and then Dr. called me. Couldn't see me but gave good instructions.

In addition to the asthma, I had a bad cold with flu-like symptoms.

You could mop the floor with me. Lots of fluids. soups amd healthy foods in small forms because I didn't have an appetitite.

Laat Sunday, I had 2 little spots on either end of my lip. Used chapstick to keep them dry. That didn't work, so I used vasoline. I went online and find ice, vasoline and hot tea bags. I stayed with the vasoline & ice until I saw doctor. By the time I saw doctor, lips were clown red, hurt to eat. They were outside mouth.

I had one of these years ago during Hong Kong flu epidemic. My old doctor was out of town and her colleague prescribe something over the phone because it was close to Christmas. It worked.

This doctor prescrbied some cream that has worked quickly and also ice. It'd hard to eat with the light cream on lips. I'm only supposed tp twice a day. I rub it off before eating and put some on after eating.

THAT GREAT SUCCESS.

After 4 weeks of really being wiped out, I feel great today. Go to the elevator and sign says: elevator down until Tuesday.

I live on 4th floor!

I haven't done any exercise in nearly a month. Physical therapists taught us well how to go up and down, slow but sure.

Coming down is easier. There's only one railing & no heat in the stairwells. I put my coat on and took gloves.
Sunday paper was downstairs.

I hang on to th one rail and lean on cane to move down.

Stopped at 2nd and rested in middle of floor in our lounge.

Thought this was wasting time. Continued on down to get paper. Success.

I walked down 4 floors with no exercise in nearly a month.

Now to walk up. Leaning on rail and using cane, I moved slowly but surely without stopping.

I was on super high. I climbed stairs up and down without having done anything near that in over a month.

Heart was telling me it felt good to exercise itself.

Had some water before starting down. Came in. Cooled down and had a little more water.

The Irish are stubborn. If it had not been for that paper, I might have strted walking halls.

Day I went to doctor, legs were limp.

So important to keep whole body exercise, esp. legs if there's arthritis.

Now I have my morning walk planne. Up and down those stairs!!
