First off let me say "Happy Thanksgiving" to everyone. I hope you have the best day of this year. . .
Tho, I am not formally doing today, I am trying to just be the day, not do the day. I managed to sleep in till 0800 or so. Hubby had been up a touch earlier and had let out the cats and fed them, turned on the coffees and had come back to bed. It's so nice to awake to hot coffee right away. With a cup in hand I went and sat out on the stoop, walking up to hummingbirds all over the yard. We have 3 feeders and of course some of the males believe they own all 3 to themselves. We had received rain last night the last of the clouds moving towards the northeast as huge dark masses. I'm so glad I don't live inland. I had had enough rain from living the Pacific Northwest for 18 years. LOL
Hubby was enjoying his coffee outside also. He likes to sit at the patio table. The hummingbirds have flight plans that include going at mach 1 or so right past ones head. As I tell friends that stop by is to just sit still. The birds know where they are going, just don't move much when birds zoom past your head. LOL
Hubby retrieved our neighbor's paper as he will be out of town till Sun. I went thru the ads and paper. I did find an interesting thing that is going to happen with Venus, Jupiter and the moon. Hopefully by Sunday and Monday, they will appear 2 degrees apart. On Monday they will be joined by the crescent moon. Look towards the southwestern sky around twilight. Just bare eyes here. Cool, I'm going to watch. Nest time this will happen will be 9.18.2052. I'll be 102-see ya there.
Well, hubby showered and shaved. I gave him a big hug and kiss. Told him I loved him and off he went to his people's dinner.
It's been so nice to just be. I sit on the stoop and just become apart of the yard. Talk to the hummer's, and have them talk back to me. A stray honey bee is trying to find her faint scent trail to get back to the hive after being stranded by rain. I hear and glimpse of the squirrels that live in the tall trees next store. They are chattering and chasing each other around, up and down the old trunks. It's so funny to watch. I also hear the sounds of small children, waiting for that wonderful aroma that is in the air.
Not sure what I want to eat. Should I get my pizza with sausage, pepperoni, black olives, mushrooms, and pineapple? I'm still not really hungry, so I think I will wait a bit.
Off I go to just be . . . more later . .
