War... everyday we hear about it. Whether it is a small squirmish in a tribal area, a family at odds, or a world-wide conflict, it is a daily news item.
what is really the cause? Greed? It's not whose best, or most powerful. It's the idea that I want what is yours. I want it all. I'm not happy with I have...I want what everyone else has.
Why can't we all get along? That's almost an impossibility, because there are those who will never be swayed to be happy with what they have.
War is good at times. When tyranny prevails, freedom raises it head and cries out "Enough!" The fight for freedom has been the basis of many wars.
The fight for freedom from England, to be able to worship as a person wants was the whole bases for the pilgramage to the New World.
To Free those held in camps by the Nazis. To not allow a people to be who they were was an autrocity. Millions lost their lives because One group, led by a mad man, thought they didn't deserve to live. Freedom again raised it's head and said "Enough"!
The war between the states was fought mainly to set free a people held in captivity. Not all were mistreated, but the majority were. Once again Freedom, led by a tall, lanky, bearded man, who rose out of poverty, raised it's head and said, "enough!"
If Freedom is allowed to perish the whole world will be doomed. Freedom was not allowed in the communist nations. People were told how to think, what to say, how to vote, even what job to do.
It didn't last because it didn't work. What bothers me is the fact that I see our great nation, the United states, quickly going the way of communism.
We are told to be politically correct, what we can or cannot say...even lose our jobs over that. We aren't allowed, they say, to speak of our faith in the marketplace, or work place or schools. That is SO untrue..the constitution says we have that right.
Separation of church and state is not in the constitution. It was in a letter penned by Thomas Jefferson. It was supportive of religious thinkers to be allowed to be a part of the political process to have a say. It was a reminder that the STATE cannot dictate our religious beliefs and the sharing of it, or to establish a state religion. The liberal thinkers say otherwise. Sad that so many have bought into the lie.
WAR..it's bad..but it's good. I think of the Boston Tea party...a small warlike squirmish ..but sent a big message. I'm tired of all the taxes taken out. If I could lead a new Boston Tea party I would. When is enough ..enough? I resent the fact that is goes into the pockets of the Big wigs, so they can do whatever they want, with no concern to the masses. Or to those who because of life choices won't or can't work. When is enough ..enough?
War is greed in most causes. But war is also speaking out for Freedom. War can say "I want is mine..not yours...just mine!" War can say .."we need a change from what is happening."
To every thing there is a season...
