I've got this gem of a book, "Weird and Wonderful Words" by Erin McKean; I lounge about in its pages and find the oddest words........
like, hodmandod: any strange person, a scarecrow, and can be used variously as hodmadod, hodmedod, hodman Hob and hodmandon.
Whew, that's a mouthful! What are some of your favorite weirdies?
