On November 22 1963 the lights went out in Camalot. The New Age started by John F Kennedy and continued in that decade by Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King brought an awakening of the civil rights movement and equality for all. JFK's urged Americans to give back to their country and reach out to make America and the world a better and shining place.
Barack Obama is a child of that era, a product of this message. A biracial man that walks in both worlds and joins the two. Through the example of his beloved mother who followed JFK's invitaion and participated in Peace Corp type activity he learned to respect all mankind and his responsibility to his fellow man. With his leadership America will again find her footing and regain her strength as leader of nations. With the support of the people he will unify and heal the wounds both internal and international. He will bring a new direction to this nation, an honorable direction. We will have come full circle in this past 45 years and like JFK he will bring Hope again to our land.
The lights went out in 1963, but, in 2008 the lights blaze again, lighting the way through the darkness that has led America down the wrong path. The torch of liberty will shine again, iluminating the path to a stronger, just America. An America that once again welcomes the downtrodden and assimilates them. A light that shines as a beaken to the world.
