The journey begins; We have a chance to be of use to each other and ourselves. Reach across that well-touted aisle and make that touch gentle and respectful.

For many of us this might be a time to rejoice, but have a care not to make this an occasion for boasting. Let's try and move forward from this point to be the decent Americans, and human beings we claim to be.

Be a bridge, not a wall. Those with other views are our friends, neighbors, co-workers, family members, and they took their views on things quite seriously; Respect that. Tread lightly.

I ask the higher power to send his strength and healing to us all. I ask blessings on our new President-elect and his family, and I ask the same for John Mccain and Sarah Palin and their families.

Wait a beat....take a breath in....and then exhale!
