Have have to stay off my right foot since Sept 10 due to surgery and subsequent unexplainable swelling of one of the non-scalpeled foot joints. I've become very creative in the ways I've found to keep myself occupied and to do what I need to get done. Since my confinement began, the weather has turned cold and rainy, the leaves are gone and the days grow short. Today I spent the day in my flannel jammie shirt, a pair of Dad's old sweat pants and a nordic print fleece robe. Oh, and my latest pair of Happy Feet--if you don't know what I'm talking about, go to www.buyhappyfeet.com and browse. They are little pieces of heaven for your feet! Anyway, I digress. Tomorrow I go back to the surgeon to see if she thinks I need to stay off my feet any longer or if I'll just have to live with the inflamed foot joint. I'm almost hoping she says "one more week," now that I've re-discovered the joys of flannel, fleece and happy feet!
