When I say that, I'm referring to the meteorlogical seasons. I don't go by what the calendar says. To me it is summer on June 1, autumn on Sept 1, winter on Dec 1, and spring on March 1. This past summer went by so fast that I can't remember much of what I did. Does time keep going faster as you get older? It must be.
My husband and I spent most of the summer getting some mileage on our bikes. We rode about 30-40 miles per week. It helps keep the weight off. He is a candidate for a total knee replacement and he claims that his knees have felt much better since he took up bike riding. So he keeps putting off his surgery. He has put it off so long that his surgeon just retired! Now he has to find a new surgeon to do the surgery once he decides to finally have it done. But I guess thats good.
Tomorrow we have a large storm center moving into our area and 45-50 mph winds are expected followed by our first snowflakes of the season. I figured that will put an end to most of the color that we have left. We spent last week in the Leelanau area camping. The colors were awesome to say the least. We just don't get colors like that in mid-Michigan where I live. But I can't complain. I think that we had a better than average autumn season. September was great as well as most of October. Now it is time for our winter season. Two months from today is Christmas! That will brighten thing up.
