The Mug...

Today was our local Bark in the Park. I had never heard of such a thing before moving to Tennessee. It is a fair devoted strictly to dogs. And it is such fun. There are, of course all kinds of dogs there and watching them all is a joy.

They have a number of contests. Photo, puppy dash, costume, homemade, costume store bought, dog owner look alike. Then there are demonstrations of jumping, agility, police. The best though, I think is the chase course, the dogs just go nuts over that one and then they have an agility course set up for anyone to take their dogs through.

Last year my dogs did poorly on the agility course but, this year they went through it pretty well. Unfortunately, because the chase course costs money, not much-but with 4 dogs-they had to just watch this year.

We come home though, with free handouts of dog treats and literature, tired dogs and tired people.

There are all sorts of dog items for sale from various vendors.

The proceeds of the function go to benefit the various shelters and humane societies, so it is a wonderful day in many ways.
