OK, I really don't like to use the word "stupid" because there are times when each of us has our "blond moments," but I am growing angry with the number of times that I try to get something done only to face some glitch in the system which then either becomes major time-consuming to correct or sometimes even impossible. Here is the latest case in point:

I received a new prescription from my doctor. I am enrolled in Tel-Drug where I pay a copay and receive 90 days worth of the medication. So, I fill out the form, mail in the prescription, and I don't hear anything for three weeks. I then call Tel-Drug and am told that there was a question about the prescription and that Tel Drug called my doctor for information, and the doctor office has not called them back. So, since I have had so little luck through phone contacts, I decide to try the email option that is offered through my doctor's office.

My message:

Hello,
I am trying to have the prescription for (name of prescription) filled and Tel-Drug just informed me that they have been trying to contact you for two weeks and have not received a response. I was told that they need to change something about the order because they do not have the original in stock. Please call 1-800-285-4812 so that my prescription can be processed. Thank you,
Liz

Their response:

We do not accept calls from pharmacies. The patient needs to
contact us for refills. I will give your message to (name of doctor).

GRRRRR. Now keep in mind that this was not a refill, it was a new prescription and aren't doctors and pharmacists supposed to COMMUNICATE!!?? Feel free to share your smart question, stupid response story.
