A taste of history - the Colesium...

Goodness, I can't believe it's been nearly a month since I wrote anything. Still today, someone is asking about our trip to Europe. I'll post another picture, even though they don't go together.
I feel like I've joined the circus - playing in three rings at the same time! My folks are fairly stable in their health, but the other two rings which occupy my life - kids and work are teaching me some new juggling tricks.
I heard raising teenagers was going to be difficult, but I thought being one of the "older" moms I would have a bit more patience and understanding. I might at that, but trying to get a 15 year old to reconsider choices and develop common sense, ugh, It's definitely a non-win situation for the mom.
When it comes to a career I'm getting really tired (literally and figuratively) of juggling 6 to 7 different ways to bring money to the pocket and food to the table. So I have put myself out there with resumes, support of friends and am waiting for a call to interview.
My feline companion, Timido, is bestowing gifts of squirrels, yes plural, and birds upon me in my living room and dining room. Maybe he's heard my frustration and is trying to help feed us!
I'm sure many of us at Eons are taken aback by the economic shift. Many are looking for ways to budget, adjust the spending with just in case scenarios, or more unfortunately have to because of the recent financial crisis. If anything we are resilient, we are creative and we are a generation of hope, maybe that's a gift we can pass on to those coming up. I know it's something my own kids need to learn.
Enough! It is time to continue to enjoy the day, pray for family and friends, read a good back and do some work on the side. Be green. Be blessed.
