Presidents and Congress have bent knee to the real leaders of America, the Corporate Supremacists, and now $700 billion of your tax dollars and mine are going to be invested in buying lousy inflated mortgages that will be sold cheaply to wealthy investors for cents on the dollar. In 1929 a few elite were able to buy properties dirt cheap and became obscenely wealthy at the expense of farmers and homeowners. This time banks are bailed out and will continue their greed as soon as the dust settles a bit.

This could have been avoided by at least the last 2 Presidents, if they were not beholden to special interests. Congress is responsible for oversight on this kind of greedy manipulation on Wall Street. Both Democrats and Republicans let this meltdown grow while they listened to the lobbyists of Wall Street and other special interests. The two Presidential hopefuls are beholden to these special interests and did nothing to demand strong regulations on corporations. Your needs, wants and desires have consistently been ignored by those you elected. They were pursuing tax breaks for business and the wealthy and letting American jobs be outsourced overseas with 'free trade". We've had 30 consecutive years of trade deficits because of lousy trade agreements like NAFTA and CAFTA. These elected people have been insourcing cheap labor and avoiding dealing with illegal immigration to your loss and mine. Morgan Stanley may sell 49% ownership to Communist China, that ought to help you sleep well. Along with this albatross the American people are being asked to bear, there had better be some major penalties and regulations imposed on Wall Street. Lobbyists should be BANNED. Let Congress do some work for a change. Oh yeah, Congress is adjourning yet AGAIN in a week. Don't sell your vote cheap because your paying through the nose for it as well as your children and grandchildren.

Right now Sen. Menendez of N.J. is holding up the bill extending E-Verify( you know, the system that makes businesses hire only American citizens and legal immigrants) unless he gets 500,000 additional foreign worker visas approved. He's the Benedict Arnold of working America!!! And why are McCain and Obama spewing campaign B.S.? This is an emergency! Why aren't they in Washington helping with the worst financial crisis since the great depression?

Right now we need a Lincoln or a Washington. Somewhere along the way we seemed to have lost great leaders to choose from.
