After visiting family in Indiana I'm home, no problems. I saw lots of flooded areas from the plane, once we got to Jacksonville. Our flight had to change the route a bit to the airport, to avoid weather, so I had the treat of flying over the Atlantic Ocean coastline. My vehicle was fine in the airport parking lot. Once again, my rear view mirror had fell off the windshield from the Florida heat (this greets me everytime I return to Florida from a trip to Indy).
I went to Wal-Mart from the airport to get some milk and fruit before going home. I was jinxed to spend a total hour in two checkout lines by delays from price checks. That's so stupid!!! What's up with Wal-Mart? When a customer comes to the checkout with something having no tag, everything shuts down, until somebody gets the price. It should be that when a customer's order is rung-up except the unpriced item, they should pay for the rest and get into another line designated for price checks. I waited 30 minutes behind one stall, then gave up and moved to another line, only to have someone else with a checkout delay. There were W-M workers standing around idle and talking. When the woman finally came with the first price check, she had combed her hair in a different style, from how it was when she left with the item. I was so mad, that my face was burning (I was praying, Lord help me hold my peace), because I couldn't go home without that fruit and milk! People were buying food like war was declared in Jacksonville.
When I got to my apartment complex, there were only leaves all over the ground, and all lawn furniture and potted plants were removed. My neighbors said they never lost power, and only had a lot of rain and scary wind. So I'm back, and getting plenty of medicated sleep. God is still good. I love my family very much, and enjoyed my two-week visit with them. Now back to another term of school starting Monday. That's all for now.
